Vision
The Interior's division of Rardin & Carroll Architects is committed to providing a distinctive environment to all of our designed buildings that is appropriate for worship, fellowship, recreation or education. We believe that the success of a building program is founded on teamwork and communication. We are dedicated to developing an understanding of the planned building and sensitive to the interpretation of the church’s goals and needs through assisting the architect in all aspects of design from the early conceptual studies to the final built facility.

Space Planning Services

The designer will meet with the committee or group designated to establish objectives of the each of the rooms in the plan. Whether new or a remodeled space, the client's needs are coordinated with the architectural team.

 Programming

The interior designer will interview appropriate ministries to establish a room-by-room program which includes technical and aesthetic concerns and furniture, equipment, and storage needs for each area.

 Cost

An important part of the designer's role is the integration of finishes and furnishings that are appropriate to the building. The finishes and furnishings are selected with their overall function in mind, insuring that they can be easily maintained, while meeting the budget requirements of the church. The total dollar amount committed to furniture, fixtures, and equipment will also carefully be monitored to meet the total project budget and quality needs of the client.

Conceptual Development

Rardin & Carroll Architect's designers maintain a current up-to-date library of products and materials that will be used to meet the church's budget, to specify building materials that enhance the overall architectural design objectives, and to select products that will perform well for years to come. A translation of all finishes will be assembled on a color board for visual presentation to the church's building committee.

Working Drawings

Each designer at Rardin & Carroll Architects are proficient in computer aided design and will translate concepts and design ideas into concise and organized working drawings. The advantage of having an interior designers on staff is for the coordination of the final drawing from all team members ending with a finished product that best defines the needs and requirements of the church. Because the interior designer is on staff at Rardin & Carroll Architects, the communication,  and coordination with the architect is enhanced.  This translates to a smoother construction process and ultimately a better building for the church.

Furnishings

As the church’s environment and floor plan needs change, the need for new and specialized furnishings may be required. The designers at Rardin & Carroll Architects can layout and design furniture and custom casework to meet the church’s specific ministry requirements. A detailed furniture, fixture, and equipment schedule will be made,  complete with the manufacturers model numbers, style and finished color numbers. Many times the designer can find furniture and equipment through their many contacts with manufacturers that may result in significant savings to the church.
